Webdesign & Browsers: Two Worlds

It’s like always - I forgot checking the theme in IE and FF and now I found it doesn’t display right. I’m feeling quite unprofessional *sigh* don’t blame me - I just love my Opera and stick with it …

However - there are two possible ways to handle it - either I go and fix the theme or I make a new one or adjust a premade one which would not be so bad as there are hundreds but then again I feel the need to have something own.

I’m not sure yet - so far I’d kindly ask you to overlook the errors - they are not soo bad that they mess up the whole side - just a bit disturbing.

Pilot Humor

Yesterday I watched TV and in a comedy show this was mentioned. I already knew it but I have to post it here now. As I found a good version online I just copy and paste it here and give credits to the source http://www.mooremeister.net/

Quantas Humor

After every flight, Quantas pilots fill out a form, called a “gripe
sheet,” which tells mechanics about problems with the
aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that
ground crews lack a sense of humor.

Here are some actual maintenance complaints
submitted by Quantas’ pilots (marked with a P) and the
solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance
engineers.

By the way, Quantas is the only major airline
that has never had an accident….. Enjoy!

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.

P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.

P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That’s what they’re for.

P: IFF inoperative.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you’re right.

P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

P: Aircraft handles funny. (I love this one!)
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.

And the best one for last………………

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel.
Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget

I’m improving

I’m playing around with a couple of more or less useful plugins. I have added a linksite “Fav Links” as you can see in the navigation right - yet there are not so many links but I have plans to change this.

And now I’m trying a as it seems simple little Gallery script. As guinea pig I chose my beloved little dog Lena…

{gallery}images/a_lena01{/gallery}

Isn’t she cute?

digging deeper

I’m trying to get deeper into it, but I still have a lot to learn. I’m definitely not the born blogger and all this options are not much self explaining. Is anyone out there who can give me some advice. I will have to read more of the documentation.

What I did today …

  • Set up the Fanfiction page
  • Burned some stuff on a DVD to get more space on my HD
  • worked
  • wrote a couple of lines
  • fixed some points at Featherlight Mind PLUS added Chapter 2 of Devilishly Good Ep. 2

I need some coffee!!!!

If anyone knows how to deal with the links in here - pleaaaseeee - let me know!

‘Almost done’ is almost done

So here we go .. once again. And this time I promise I stay *chuckles*.

However - I spent the last few days creating this design and I hope it’s to your all taste. I’m sure I will keep it for a good while. There’s a good chance I’ll have to add some more css and plugins later but for now enjoy it as it is.

I’m gonna put a lot of my stuff up here, so stay tuned. I also like the idea to inform you about my progresses - whatever this may include. *lol*

Just enjoy ;)
